I hope that your vet appt is with a good chameleon vet? I believe there is a plug in there that the vet will need to get out. My friend's cham had one of these and the vet was able to squeeze it out. Keep us updated.
Just to be sure I understand you correctly, do you mean that you think there is something stuck in his eyes? I am currently suspecting that myself, because he is cleaning his eyes more than usual and I just saw him rub one on a vine. His eyes are still clear, no pus or other fluid coming from them.
I'm hoping to get the vet to take a look when I take the fecal sample back. I will also inquire about blood tests.
Alright, the vet was not in when I called, so I weighed Napoleon myself. He weighs 120g, not 160g, so I either heard or remembered incorrectly. With a nose-to-vent length of 6.5 inches, does 120g sound like a healthy weight? I have no issue cutting back on feedings to help with weight.
I went and got ingredients for a new batch of gutload in case vitamin E is the answer. They are as follows:
~dandelion greens
~zucchini
~summer squash
~papaya
~almonds
~paprika
Let me know if anything there should not be used. I will wait to prepare it until I get some opinions. I also have raspberries and blueberries if you think I should add those as well.
As of right now, his eyes look almost normal, just slightly wrinkly.
Edit: I also removed the pothos to test the allergy theory.
