Finally the big girl dropped her clutch today. 33 healthy babies! No slugs no deformities.
Sorry for the bad pics.

I already told you how proud of you I am, but here it goes for the whole world. Carl has worked hard to get these guys going ( think Laurie and quads). It is really rewarding to finally hit the mark. Bullseye Carl.

Thanks Laurie!

I want to see this species succeed in captivity. Maybe with the help of some others we can get this species to the point that limited numbers of CB animals will always be available.

Congratulations on a healthy clutch. You have a lot of babies to house lol. I'm scrambling to house all mine. I hope you are able to sell theses when they are old enough. I'm having a hard time moving my Meru's.

I have 60+ babies from three species right now. The xanth's will be the hardest to move. Most of the sternfeldi are spoken for. If it comes down to it I'll just apply for CITES for the werneri and bring them to a Hamm show.

It does suck working with odd species! I'd be all over some of your meru's if I had the room.

That is what my two partners and I are working to do with quads. I think we can both hit our goals. You are on your way

I concur with you two and think we have the breeders in the USA who are capable of accomplishing these goals for many chameleon species. It is great to watch keepers breeding (or having gravid WC females give birth) the less commonly kept species such as Trioceros werneri here in the USA.

I dont think its a good idea to bring them to the Hamm show.
Werners came in the last 2 years and several breeders are offering babys, they give large clutches and the group of people who are interested in these species are rather small.
If you can sell babys for 70 or 80e you can be glad but even at those prices interest will be very low i'm affraid...
Your cost of paperwork and shippingcosts will be way higher than what you can sell and if not sold you need to take them back to the US???
We are planning an import of the more rare werner ssp like the Ngure giant green form or the giant longhorns.
These are very collorful and will reach a bigger publique i guess.

Carl I think we have the people in the US to help get the werneri bred to have cb werneri available. We just need a couple partners for you like my 2 partners. I know they are out there.:):)
