Can I just clarify misting?! Right I am misting several times a day and also drip for 30 mins. I only most for a minute or so as the tank get so wet!

Humidity is around 70-85 and i have live and fake plants. The bottom of the cage however is really soggy :-( - is this right? I am using kitchen paper towel. I am getting more live plants later in the week

Thanks (again )

mist every 3 or 4 hours, mist until the cage is wet. You have to let the cage dry out tho so thats why misting every 3 or 4 hours is good. And i would let the dripper go for about 4 hours, let it drip off some plants into a bowl or something

I mist every time the last misting session completely dries. If not I get water spills on bottom too. What kind of chameleon do you have?

make sure anything you use to catch the water is SHALLOW enough so your chameleon cannot drown in it! If you are using glass and you cage is too humid all the time and never dries out that can breed mold and bacteria which can lead to a respiratory infection in your chameleon. I wouldnt use anything on the bottom. When you are done misting you can wipe the bottom out if is is pooling water.

Thank you - he is a veiled and teeny! The tank dries but not the bottom. I will clean te bottom tomorrow as he has lights out now! Also will get a lot with some large pebbles to catch the drip that misses the plant!

Have put some Phoenix worms in a pot and still no luck eating. Trying to keep going to the Viv to a minimum while he settles - that said tho when I do he always climbs on my hand !

I have always used plastic bottle with the top cut off to catch dripper water in. I cover the top with tutu mesh material using an elastic band so the chams can't fall in and drown. I have also used a tall plastic pasta jar too.
