More plants

Added some more plants to Calvin's habitat today as I felt it looked a bit empty before. I read that they prefer lots of foliage. And that the more comfortable they feel in their habitat the more likely they are to chill in the open where you can see them easier. I mean half the time I have a hard time finding her anyways because she's still little and she often blends so well with the plants. I want to add more plants eventually.

you probably could use more IMO, but once the pothos fills in that will help :)

We have a couple other potted plants but we're waiting for one to grow more. And another we put her in when she's out of her enclosure.
I have a row of plants outside that I'm trying to grow/fill in so I can add more real plants to O's enclosure. I have a laying bin and a bromeliad (real) which keeps the humidity up fairly well and lots of fake viney things to fill it in, but I want to replace them one at a time eventually.

I love that I've actually been wondering if I need a laying bin or not since she's still little. I'm also still unsure if I want to breed her. I'm leaning more towards not breeding her.

she will develop and lay eggs - even without being with a male... so at some point, a laying bin will be a necessary part of life :) how old is she?

I think she's about 4 months or so. She's shed twice since we've had her. We got her on March 4th. I'm not sure if she shed while at the store but she shed within the first few days we had her

^^ I agree that looks more like difenbachia which is mildly toxic and not a good choice for chameleons that eat plants.

I've never seen her eat plants. Also, she doesn't go near it ever. She prefers to be in the top of her enclosure, and is never at the bottom.

She may not eat them. But veileds munch on leaves more than other chams ... so it's not worth taking a chance, right? trust me... I made a mistake recently and put Ophelia on a tree/bush that was outside my window without knowing what it was. She did munch on a couple leaves so I took her down and was told that the bush was purple nightshade. Toxic. I was lucky and nothing bad happened, but I felt really dumb.
