All I can say is this is certainly going to cause more harm than good.

Ok, so the idea sounds good but there are actually many bad implications attached to it as well. The biggest one being that drivers may soon get accustomed to these trompe-l’œils and ignore them, and the day may come when a real child is in the road and gets knocked down due to the driver’s “ignorance” to the illusions. Also, some drivers may brake very hard to swerve dangerously to the side, possibly hitting down pedestrians nearby.

So what happens when people get used to the "optical illusion kids" in the street, and as a result run over a REAL child. " OH MY GOD, I THOUGHT IT WAS FAKE! ". Mark my words, it WILL happen. This has got to be one of the stupidest ideas I've seen in a long time.
