Hello Everyone!
So I am reptile parent of a veiled chameleon. I have had have for about a week now. Hes so handsome and so social. I just got him a tank cage and he loves how green and tropical it is. One thing, he sees his reflection. He gets really flat, gets spot, and hisses at it. I sprayed the glass to make it have droplets on it so that he can't see it but he still does. I saw him eat one cricket. I am afraid that him acting/feeling like this will prevent him from eating? I have read that they usually don't mind their reflections but maybe he is so happy with his new home that he doesn't want to share? Any suggestions/recommendations?
Any advice??

Go to the Resources tap at the top of this page and check out the care sheets for your chameleon, there's a wealth of information on this forum if you're willing to take it
Oh, welcome to the chameleon forums!!

Some chams DO mind their reflection and it will distract him from eating or doing much other than displaying. Sometimes you can adjust the position of the lights in order to change the angle so the reflection disappears, but not always. Once he "learns" that there's an intruder in the cage he will search for it. I've tried attaching a piece of very fine screen (like no seeum mesh) to the inside of the glass to break up the reflection but still allow some general light through.
