Yes they are both underage and will not meet to early next year:(

Reptiles.....Why are they so addicting:cool::eek::eek:

Yes congrats. I was talking to Bill Love at the show in Virginia a while back. He said if you dont come to the shows broke you will leave broke hahaha. This is so true. Good luck on your new projects.

I actually picked up two, yes 2 female montium's at the cleveland reptile show. it was insinuated that they are CB but the seller was a wholesaler so who knows. the both are slightly bigger than monty so i figure 3+ maybe four months.

Hey, just had a quick question. The pictures I've seen of Monty have shown him out in the open, often near the basking lights. Is he often out in the open like that? The montiums I've had liked to stick to the middle of their plants, never getting out on an exposed branch like the two pics above. Just curious.

Anyways, good luck with the 3 of them. They're a beautiful species with some great display colors/patterns.

He is often shy and actually rotates around branches to hide at least at first. right where he is pictured is only lightly misted and crickets congregate above....he is a little lazy about hunting sometimes and has found the sweet spot in my opinion:rolleyes::D

ps i usually take pics when i can see him, my first few day i spent more time finding him than any other care

Those ladies are WC - you can tell by their scrapes, bruising, bite marks and general demeanour. Make sure those girls are given a lot of water and privacy over the next little bit. Once they feel a bit more relaxed, perhaps a check-up at the vet is warranted.

Good luck with the group. It's nice to see something a little different.

Cheers,

Apparantly I have a sucker tatoo on my forehead. After reading the replies to my posts, seeing the vet and reviewing the pictures of the montiums i purchased not only were they malnurished, dehydrated, but i can easily see as Trace so observantly posted wild caught trauma signs.

I guess not only do i have chameleon fever but it appears to have resulted in poor vision as well.

I wish i could take one of you with me to the reptile shows so you can smack me back to reality before i purchase frail chams as a newbie owners
