Monster Medium Crickets

My cham is almost 6 months old now and I thought I would start him on medium sized crickets. Only thing is they look HUGE! They are almost double the size of the small crickets. Are these OK to feed him? I am just concerned about their nutrition content and the possibility of one hurting his mouth and giving him mouth rot. I saw him eat one and he seemed happy, but I just thought I would double check...

If you could post pictures of how big your cham is we can help you decide if they are appropriately sized for him or not. Just to compare, my veiled starting eating "medium" sized crickets at about 3 months of age with no problem.

I cannot post a pic of him right now, but if you go to my profile there is an album of him. The pic that matches my avatar is the latest I have of him. I would say his body is about 3-4" long. (not including tail). These crickets are ranging from 1/4" - 3/4".

I don't think that they are too big for him to devour, my only concern is that I have read that once a cricket gets to a certain size its not that good for them to eat because the outer shell is so hard and there is not a ton of nutrition to get from them. Also I have read that their hind legs cut up the cham's mouth? I would just like to avoid any injuries if possible...
