A month and a half ago I bought a female veiled, approximately two years old, which came from a rescue. Apparently she was in a bad situation (we've all heard of them before). I have been spoiling her rotten with everything she needs. She is the sweetest veiled I've come across. Every time I come near, she wants to come out on my shoulder. Well, she starts pacing so I put in a container with half soil and sand. She does her thing and I just finished incubating 50 eggs! Obviously she was either retaining sperm from a previous breeding or they will turn out infertile. Again, I don't have access to her past, so I guess I'll have to wait and see if they grow or fade away. I've had much experience with other reptiles but I'm curious about this situation. The eggs are leathery and some of them are not filled out. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. The good news is that I have two beautiful male juvies that she is patiently waiting for them to grow up!
