So i got a schefferla arbicola a few days ago and replaced my ficus elastica i know there not recomended but i was using it for humidity (cause i live in the dry dry DRY DESERT!!!) and i noticed there was mold in the potting soil i had 2 party cups with holes dripping on the ficus elastica and the corn plant constantly. Is there too much humidity in the cage? its about 50-70% throught the day im using a humidifier and mist 3 times a day

Its not too much humidity its too much excess water in the plant. I had the same problem when I started out. I had to have it not drip into the plants because of the mold. If you can put some rocks, or hydroballs on the bottom of the plants pot to help with drainage. The soil needs to dry out between the mistings otherwise this will happen often. Is there any reason that you do not let it just drip on the floor?

Well this was before i went to wal mart and got a clear tub and sat my cage on it. I always seem to kill plants so i was trying to water them that way and thats a no-no
