Molds on eggs

Did you clean/wash/rinse the eggs when you dug them up and put them in the incubator? What substrate are you using to incubate their eggs in? Did you use tap water or what?

BTW welcome to the forum! Are these your first eggs? What species?

thanks for reply, nope i dont have eggs yet i just want to know what is the main cause and how to prevent from getting molds on eggs ☺️☺️

Oh…I see. Good to prepare.

When the eggs are laid, it’s said that they have a coating on them to protect them…but some people wash the eggs when they dig them up and destroy that protection.

Mold can be an indication that the gigs are not fertile.

In some cases, if the substrate is too moist eggs can mold.

Hopefully others will chime in and give you more information.
