Mixing crickets

I have 6 crickets left over from my little baby cham that died nearly 2 weeks ago. They are probably around 1/2 to 2/3 grown. I just bought 50 small ones today, around 1/4 sized. Should I put them together? I am putting in some orange and apple slices and carrots, along with some dry gutload, so they will have food, but will the big ones pick on and kill the small ones? I have a big tub I bought for when I get them in bulk here soon, and right now I am keeping the big ones in there, and the small ones in a small critter keeper until I get some advice. So, should I mix them or kill the big ones? My new cham is coming Wednesday and is right at 3 months. Thanks!

avoid it as the large would just eat the small, release them outdoors where they can live another day without dieing

Ok. That's kind of what I thought would happen. I will give them some yummy gutload...let them get their bellies full tonight, then set them free in the morning! Thanks!!

I mix mine... they seem okay as long as there's food and enough egg crate that they aren't crowded together.
