Mistking upgrade

Hello everyone,
I upgraded to the digital hygrometer control for my Mistking. Now I'm wondering if it was a mistake. I can picture it spraying nonstop to meet the set humidity for the setting. Should I order the basic timer that would've come with it?
I realize it comes down to my homes natural humidity but feel like I splurged where I shouldn't have.

Ya maybe they will exchange it for the ST24. Here is the thing, chameleons need spikes of humidity, with dry outs not constant humidity. Frogs need constant humidity and in that case the hygrometer is good.
