I have just recieved my new MistKing system last night. It has three misting nozzles, and the no-drip backflow preventer (or at least thats what I THINK it is).
I have a 2x2x4 screen enclosure with bendy branches, UVB Repti-sum bulb, basking light, and a water pan to catch over flow liquids.
My schedule is as follows:
0430 am up for exercises in a separate room
0500 am into the shower
0530 breakfast and feed cham
0600 out the door
0700 to 5pm, at work
5:30pm home for dinner, doing chores, watching TV etc.
8:30pm bedtime
In the winter it gets light around 0700
In the summer it gets light around 0630
In winter it gets dark around 4pm or 5pm
In summer dark is around 8pm to 9pm
I thought I would start my cham off in the am with the UVB light, and then turn on a basking light a few (15) minutes later. The first misting would start after the basking light has been on for ?(15 minutes?) so everything can get toasty warm before the water comes on. I would like to see the water misting at 0545 when its feeding time (this way, I will know my mister is working). I also dont know how long the mister should run.
How long should the mister run?
I think it would be good to have the mister run at the halfway point between when I leave, and when I get home. Halfway between 0600am, and 5:30pm is 11:45, or noon. Again, how long should the mister run?
Then I would have it come on a third time when I get home around 5:30pm.
Should I have it come on a fourth time, before bed at 08:30 or 9pm? I know that I do not want my cham going to sleep wet.
The temp. in the room I will have my new cham in will get to around 65 degrees F at night with all the lights out.
