MistKing Help

Hi Forum. I'm at a stand still with the MistKing. It arrived a few days ago, and every time I try to get support (which you can only get via email) They've sent short replies that leave questions unanswered. I have a sinking feeling this system is mostly for pro's who know what they're doing. Set-up seems simple, but the nozzles they sent aren't what I thought I was getting. On their site they have sleek all black nozzles, but the ones they sent have white and blue collets and locks. They send a bag with them for you to replace all the collets yourself, but directions are vague. It feels like the nozzle is going to break if I pull hard enough to replace the collets. Gang....This could be just me here who's technically challenged, but I want feedback from you. Anyone else have trouble with the nozzle-do-it-yourself black replacement collets?
P.S. MistKing has been very professional, and quick to reply, but I'm still feeling left in the dark.

Hey Wood,

As I stated in my pm reply, I havent recieved my kit yet and neither has Tim (Sancho) but when we do we will be sure to lend a hand if we can. 3 heads are better then 1..:) In the mean time Im sure some one will chime in and shed some light on the matter. I did brief over the PFD Install file on the website and they seam pretty straight forward but cant confirm that as of yet. Post some pictures as to what exactly your trying to do and well see if we can help ya out. ;)

Yes depending on what system you get the ultimate comes with a auto timer. You can also get a cheaper package and add on the timer. And to the topic starter remember the nozzles are stock unless you upgrade to the all black ones. "Also available in Black" means they are upgrades.

Let me know what specific questions you have and I'll be happy to help. I'm typically to the point in my replies, sorry. If you need more info just ask, here, via PM or email.

Absolutely, the PDF directions are straightforward. But once you're holding onto the nozzle and trying to pull it apart (to replace with the black collets) you'll know what I mean. It's purely aesthetic...I don't really "need" to replace all the blue/white collets, but I want the nozzle to be all black. That's what I thought I was getting when I made the order. It makes for a cleaner look. Marty's been great, but I need more detailed info and support. :)

Oh, hehe, Marty is here. Hey Marty..... So, is it ok that I pull HARD on the collets to take apart the nozzles so I can replace the blue/white with all black?

Ok, I got it. The dynamic of taking the blue clip out, and then pushing downward on the collet while pulling apart the nozzle at each joint was very unclear to me :)

hehe... you're not the patient type (it's OK, neither am I). I replied to your emails and I tracked you down here. Yup, that's all you do. Yank the blue collet lock out, push on the collet and pull the fittings apart, then just pull the white collet out and replace with black.

I have so many black fittings with blue locks and white collets that it would take me a year to replace them with black. That's why I decided to include them on the ultimate system so you can have black nozzles if you want to and yes you have to do it yourself. Sorry, maybe when I burn through the current stock I'll have all black fittings made, but for now they need to be swapped.

All the other value nozzles still are black with white collets..sorry. You can make them all black though. I do sell the black collets separately in packs of 10 on the accessories page.

hey marty, not to be a broken record, anywyas. i just ordered a nozzle and a "T" joint. is there anyway to view on the site my purchase to make sure everything went through.
