Mistking+aquazamp rainfome = frankenmister?

I recently bought a mistking starter system. I've got it set up along with my cage and drainage system, just waiting for my little guy to get here.

I was wondering though, would it be possible to put the aquazamp raindome on a mistking setup? Anyone else done this on here? (i searched but came up empty)I checked and they both use 1/4 inch tubing. Does the raindome use the same push fittings?

Just curious, it would be like having the best of both worlds.

From what i saw im not sure but i think A rain done is basically just a container with a piece of plastic to disrupt the water and let it fall thought the screen i bet it would be relatively easy to make one.

if you mount the nozzle about 6 inches from the top of the cage. when the mist hit the screen it will start drip naturally. it will depend on how wide the mist pattern is also.

How does the raindome actually work? Is it just a container with little holes in the bottom with the water being supplied by the line?

Ok, so the nozzel sprays up and there isn't a bottom on it? Would another nozzel mounted on the side of a 1 gal deli cup pointed up basicly be the same?

Possibly, but the shaking of the tubing may be too much for a light deli cup. I used a "Rubbermaid" tupperware because it was a little heavier.

If you cut out the bottom of a tub aware and put a piece of screen on the bottom then place something to disrupt the water so it drips down and hits the screen there you go.

Anyone with an aquazamp or raindome, how do the fittings work? Do you just push the tube in and friction holds it like the mistking? I'm prob just gonna go with a raindome instead of making one since I only have the one nozzel (which I still wanna keep in the cage as well as the rain) and another nozzel plus t fitting and line would be the same price as the raindome anyway.

I gave YouTube a shot, there's only 2 vids with raindomes and it's only of them running. Mistking has tons of vids, everything from setup, misters in action and everything in between. I wonder if this says how much more popular the mistking seems to be? Haha

Hey I can only speak about what I know and I know my mistking is the best thing I bought for my chams, probably more important than the enclosures......lol

The AquaZamp RainDome will work with the mistking systems, as will our nozzles and fittings.

The major difference in our fittings is that they are NSF certified, pressure rated, temperature rated, dual O-ring sealed, FDA approved materials and made in the USA.

There is a nozzle in the AquaZamp RainDome, but it does not spray up-side-down.

We have three sizes of RainDomes, the single nozzle, the dual (meant for 16" cages) and the tripple nozzle RainDome (meant for the 24" cages). Any smaller RainDome will fit on a larger cage, it is just user preference. :)

Cool beans. I'll probably get one when I upgrade to the adult cage. Thanks for all the help everyone. It's weird, I'm used to car forums where everyone is a jerk ha
