Misting

So after countless hour's of researching on how to properly take care of a panther chameleon, I've concluded that chameleons need to be misted. Although, I'm kind of confused on whether to mist manually, or have a automatic mister. I'm getting a 3-month old Nosy Faly cham. If I have to spray manually, I would spray when me and him wake up (I'm gonna be waking up at 7:00AM and his lights are going to turn on at 7 as well) Since I do have school, I was thinking spraying early in the morning (7AM), then when I come back from school (3-4PM), then an hour ahead of time before his lights go off (6PM). A automatic mister would be a lifesaver, but it's just way too expensive. I understand, chameleons can be really expensive. I just want a set up in the high 300's. Without a automatic mister, that's possible. Please leave your feedback! Thank you

Welcome to the forums. This is a great place to learn about chameleons. I recommend the MistKing started set since you are going to be gone all day. I believe that system is $99.00. If you end up misting by hand I would not mist at 6:00 in the evening. IMO that's to late to mist because you will want his enclosure to dry out before bedtime. Here's my blog for new keepers of young panthers and veileds. https://www.chameleonforums.com/blo...-with-young-veiled-or-panther-chameleons.325/

Hey Jann! Don't you think a monsoon RS400 is a good alternative to a mist king? I don't know if you heard of this guy called "BellipotensNYC", he's a YouTuber that makes videos. He has a couple of vids showing set ups for his Panther chams and they all use a monsoon rs400. He uses distilled water which prevents clogging the tubes.
