Misting times?

I have a mistking system feeding 3 different cages: my veiled cham, 2 nozzles, crested gecko, 1 nozzle, and two whites tree frogs, 1 nozzle. What are good misting times/durations that will provide a good misting and avoid flooding? Thanks!

I am having same issues with my misting machine as it doesn't mist a fine spray, it is more like a quick rain. Problem of course is water collection at the bottom of the Mesh cage pan. So hence what do we use to catch the water? I have papertowels at the bottom but those get soaked quick and must be replaced way too often. I thought of a towel but if the Chameleon goes on the bottom like mine likes to do it might get it's nails caught on the material. So I am looking for answers as well.

Each of those animals have different water requirements.

I only mist my crested at night.

My veiled and panthers get misted during the day.

I don't know about tree frogs.

you may want to look into separate mist systems.

@tartammy - I bought a tray from LLLReptile that fits below the cage and catches water. I have never had to lift the cage to empty it - it evaporates within reasonable time. It even held up when I had my Monsoon misfire and run until the reservoir was empty.

I mist with the low flow nozzles 2min 8 times a day, i use a gallon of water a week. If i have critters that need more or less water, i use higher flow jets or multiple nozzles.

I checked out that LLL Reptile and that looks perfect, however, my cage is not that big as I only have a 4 mo. old Veiled. He is in a Large Screen Reptile Habitat Cage, appx. 18" x 18" x 36", do you think this Size: 24 x 24 x 48 Screen Cage Water Tray, would fit???

I could be wrong but I think they the trays for the smaller size cages as well. Be sure to scroll down and check sizes - they are broken out by size and color, which is confusing at first glance.

Ok I think I found a solution. I set the mist king to do a few sprays throughout the day so it doesn't flood any cages but still provides water and moisture, and I just hand mist the chameleon while I'm not gone. Thanks for the replies everyone!

I have a 24x24x48 with a 24x24x48 water tray. The water tray works good though. Just drill a few holes to allow for the water to drain into the water tray and it will evaporate off. That's what I did.
