Misting System Question

I am going to get a Mist King system for my veiled chameleon. Right now I have an automatic dripper, but she will only drink water droplets that fall from leaves after I hand mist her enclosure. I mist the enclosure (with live plants) several times a day, but I am starting a new job soon and won't be home during the day anymore. I am going to put this system on a timer.

Where do I aim the nozzles? She hates getting wet, so I want to avoid where I think she'll be at the times it goes off. However, does the water need to come from the top some it drips off the leaves? She generally stays at the very top. I don't see her coming down to drink. But if I set it up from the top, she'll get wet and she hates that. Also, what are the suggested time for the system to go off? Should I set the first one before her lights turn on (they're on a timer) or afterwards? What should be the latest time? Her lights are on at 7 and off at 7, but I could changes those too if need be. She usually climbs down and goes to sleep about 30 minutes before her lights turn off. She is like clockwork!

Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

I usually have my basking light on a back corner, so let's say it's the back left corner. In that case, I'll have my nozzle on the front right corner aiming back into the cage and down. It won't reach the basking area, which is where chameleons typically hang out but it will get the front half of the cage nice and wet. It's ok if it catches her once in a while, she'll get used to it or learn the misting routine and learn when to avoid being in that area if she wants to.

I start misting after the morning lights go off and stop several hours before the lights go off, so by 5 the misting stops if the lights go off at 8, so the cage has time to dry up. When and how often it goes off will depend on your watering and humidity needs but I usually started an hour after the lights came on, and had an additional 3 sessions before cut-off time.

There's no right or wrong way to do it, but my personal opinion is that the Mistking should go off for at least 3 minutes at a time, instead of short 30 second bursts. 3-5 minute sessions are a good minimum in my opinion, but not everyone agrees with that. Depends on your drainage too, I suppose!

I agree with the above. My mistking goes off for 2.5-4 minutes every two hours here (it's really dry here). My last misting session is 4:30 and lights are out at 6, and the cage bottom is the only part that is slightly wet. But a must have is a drainage system.
If your cham doesn't like the misting, I think someone once said something about getting the aquazamp nozzles for a more 'rainfall' like effect. But I'm not certain on that.

I prefer long misting sessions as well. Mine are 3 minutes in the morning and 5 minutes later on, every couple of hours. I also point the nozzle down, so no mist gets all over the lights. I put the nozzle in the back corner (should've done it in the front corner so that less mist gets out the front) to conceal it, but yeah.
