Misting system choice!!

So I'm in the market for a misting system.

I really just needed a single nozzle kit for my L.williamsi geckos in a 18 x 18 x 24 ExoTerra. But i recently got another 18x18x24 ExoTerra that I'm not sure what i will house in it, but i'm sure it can use misting.

So now I've been looking into a 3 nozzle system (double up some of my existing misters on larger cages that can later be removed and placed over bins for hatchlings or additional cages.)

Rite now i have settled on either the AquaZamp or a MistKing 3 nozzle systems. They both have the obvious pros and cons.

I am just looking for a quality (zero- little fail product) misting system, all while trying to save a buck or 2 in the process.

I'd like to hear from people who are currently running either of these systems . I would like to see how it's working out and hopefully help my decision.

Thanks in advance

you could look into the exoterra monsoon as well. that is what i use it is not very expensive like 80$ on amazon and can hold up to 6 nozzles. it only comes with 2 and one spliter thing so you would have to get a the expansion which is like 15 to 20$ but still cheaper

it works very well for me

Having read lots on this forum about misting systems, there are very few complaints about mistking or aquazamp but lots of negative talk about monsoon. I have experience of mistking and monsoon and mistking wins hands down. Don't have any knowledge of aquazamp. Glad your monsoon is working well, you must have got a good one.

i love my mistking. but i've never tryed another system. i bought mistking beacuse people told me it was good, and it is. :)

I have the same thing. It works flawlessly. It's easy to adjust, stays full for weeks (for me), and does not get clogged or stops short. Very nice and inexpensive system.

I have a Mist King system. I love it and wouldn't be without it. It was one of the best investments made. I run four nozzles on two cages and have never had a problem. I also use RO water to eliminate the possibility of clogged misting heads.
I know there are many that will say the same for Aqua Zamp. Both are quality systems that work well. I believe they are both similarly priced. If you do decide on Mist King over Aqua Zamp go through the mistingdepot.com they are in Texas ( vs. Canada ) which will save on shipping.

Have both...use both. have rain domes and love the two and three nozzle ones. I have had issues with the Mistking timers but otherwise both do what they are suppose to do. From looking at both pumps side by side I feel the Aqua Zamp is of better quality, but that is just a feeling.

But then you know all that already ;)

I've used the MistKing with zip drip valve for over a year now - with tap water - and the 3 nozzles have not clogged. I love the system. I use it on my FR now, but when my cham was a baby, I used it on his cage. I did not install the nozzles IN the cage, but right OVER the cage. This produced a rain effect in the cage which I (and my cham) loved.

I highly recommend the Mistking. We have had several for years and they even work perfect in the Parsonii room. :)

I have the AZ raindome system. I removed the dome when I hooked it up to the big enclosure. I love the AZ. No problems whatsoever.

My name is Max and I approve this message. :D

I have parts from both mk & az... Both work just fine. The things that make a favorite for me:

Kevin Zamp @ AZ is a great guy, he will go out of his way to get you misting and takes care of his customers! I have nothing negative to say about MK, just that I am sold on AZ due to the customer service experiences to date with them.

Plus it is cheaper once you factor in shipping etc... because its in the usa.

I have had my MistKing for about 1 month now. Right now it has 4 nozzles for 2 cages and the drip valve. I absolutely love it and have had no issues with anything. It is really easy to setup and works on the timer flawlessly. My two Jackson's absolutely love it and will hold their head up in the direction of the spray when getting misted.
