Misting Schedules!

My misting schedule;

8:00 AM - 8:02 AM

12:00 PM - 12:02 PM (2 minutes)

2:00 PM - 2:02 PM (2 minutes)

4:00 PM - 4:02 PM (2 minutes)

6:00 PM - 6:02 PM (2 minutes)

7:00 PM - 7:02 PM (2 minutes)

7:30 PM - 7:35 PM (5 minutes)

8:00 PM - 8:02 PM (2 minutes)

Think it's enough? Too much? Opinions? What are your misting schedules?

How many gallons per minute does this pump run? I have a bucket that's 5 gallons (I think?) so I want to know if this schedule will need my bucket to be refilled often.

For my Jackson:

7:00 AM - Lights on

8:00 AM - 10 minutes

10:30 AM - 15 minutes

1:00 PM - 5 minutes

3:30 PM - 5 minutes

6:00 PM - 5 minutes

7:00 PM - Lights off

One caveat, I have a huge enclosure and a very efficient drainage system. I started off with 5 minute sessions in the mornings, too, but have found that my Jax needs some extra time to drink and clean out his eyes in the AM. I go through about 1 gallon of water a day, about 1/2 gallon actually ends up in the drainage bucket.

Cool! My veiled drinks a lot just from the small mistings he gets. I feel that's enough for me. Maybe later I'll get a bigger bucket and up my mistings.

My only issue is that my computer rig is sort of near the ONE non-plasticked-over side (door) of the cage, so it might get some humidity.

So I must find a way to store my computer on my desk on the other side... hmm.

My werneri are on a warm wet summer schedule now so they get 15 minutes early in the morning and then 10 minutes late afternoon. Every other day an hour before lights another10 minutes.

My lateralis schedule is 10 minutes in the morning every other day.

I should add that once I am ready to start cycling the lateralis for breeding they will get a misting schedule similar to the werneri

I think I will change instead of having 7:00-7:02 PM, and 7:30-7:35 PM, I will change it to a single misting for five minutes at 7:00-7:05 PM and then get rid of 8:00, and make one at 10:00 AM for two minutes.

My girl lives outside, so I don't mist until she's up. At the moment it's 5 minutes at 8, 3 mins at 11, 2, and 5 mins at 4 p.m. She's asleep after that, and I don't want to disturb her. On my days off, I hand mist with warm water around 10 a.m. or sometime in the afternoon.,she really likes that!

The majority of chameleons are seasonal breeders. Breeding and hatching usually takes place around the rainy seasons. Being in a constant reproductive cycle shortens the females lifespan.

Oh cool, I didn't know it took place in the rainy seasons. I did know that females live longer the less they lay eggs and breed though. Thanks.

I now have Monty's mistking going off 5 minutes per hour and then at 7 it goes off twice in the hour.
