Misting Nozzle Tricks

I have had 4 of my 6 nozzles plug at different times over the last 3 months, and have a couple suggestions if you run into this.

I was trying to figure out what was clogging them, and took a look at the container my water supply was in. I saw that the surface had particles of dust and some animal hair on the surface. When I was inspecting the little screen in the nozzle, it had both hair and the dust clogging it. My solution was to put a top over the container, and have not had another clog.

When cleaning the very tiny screen in the nozzle, I found it too small to pull it out without bending it. So, I used my canned air for my computer and shot it through the screen while it was still in place and it solved the clog. My guess is the air broke up the gunk small enough to pass through.

Hope this helps:D

Putting a lid on is a must. Another thing that I have done is I put my bulkhead about an inch up from the bottom of my container so all the pieces of debris settle to the bottom and don't get sucked into my pump or nozzels.

See Ya,

I use the following, no dust or pet hair. I will keep in mind the nozzle cleaning tip, thanks Nick.:)

I went Mega-sized and got a 18 GALLON reservoir so when I am on a trip my wife doesn't have to fill it! Hope I never get a leak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a thought on lids if you are using regular tap water the chlorine will only evaporate if you have no lid. But it does evaporate quickly.

Lance,

I don't snap the lid on, I offset it a little, so the water "breaths":D
