Misting/Lights

Hmmmm.... Since ive switched off and drained my waterfall ive now started misting again and its just reminded me, the last time i misted like this my bulb lasted less than a month, im assuming the obvious and that the condensation and Humidity killed my bulb, any clues as to how to stop this happening again? My lights can not be situated on the outside of the viv wich is one to bare in mind!!!!

For basking you could use a in/out door PAR20 50w lamp. These can handle getting wet and produce a nice basking temp.

as for the UVB lamp... you could put aluminum foil over the lamp to act as a shield and to help reflect more light downward. Foil will almost double the UVB transmission of the lamp since more is reflected down instead of going in all directions.
