Mister vs Fogger vs Rain Machine vs ????

I have a five month old (ish) veiled Chameleon. Once I get her permanent cage - which will be a 36x18x24 - I want to save up and get some kind of automated water system for her, but I want to make sure I get the right thing. My gut says I should get a mister over a fogger but I'm not sure? And then there are rain machines which I don't recall being mentioned on the forums? And what is a good, while semi economical brand?

Last thing: I have live plants in her cage. Do you water them separately, or is there enough run off from the water system to not need to?

Fogger more for raising humidity
I would get a auto mister and set a drain pan in the cage and put plants in it pipe the drain to a bucket and empty everyday

Its fairly cheap to make a watering system
Making one maybe 25-40$
Buying one $60-$200

And if you make one you can run pipes into the plant with a cutoff to water the you would just turn cut off on then off when done
