mist timing

I have my mist king go off for 2 minutes just before lights on, once mid day and then just before lights off. As I don’t use a fogger at night, I also have a couple of 15 second mistings during the night.

what are good times for mist to go off
A couple of steps before that....

First, you'll want to know the duration of a misting session. When I first set up my mister, I turned it on manually until water began running down the drain. It didn't make any sense to mist longer than that—it just wastes distilled or RO water.

Second, you'll need to know how long it takes for your enclosure to dry out completely after a misting, so as not to promote molds, mildew, & bacteria.

Once you know those, scheduling should be easier.

Most folks mist at lights-on and lights-off as a bare minimum. Many do a midday session as well—in lieu of using a dripper.

Like MissSkittles, I don't use a fogger; I'm able to attain nighttime humidity with a few nighttime misting sessions. All my misting sessions are 2 min., and it takes almost 3 hrs. to completely dry out.
Schedule is:
6am (lights-on)
Noon
6pm (lights-off)
9pm
Midnight
3am

This won't work for everyone; it depends on your enclosure, household 'climate' and the climate where you live. Some are going to need a fogger.
