Missing food often

Hi
Elvis is my second Cham, I had Jambo 5 years when he sadly passed away last year. I've had Elvis 6 weeks now, was told he was 6 months when I got him, but after seeing the amount he eats and his shed rate ( twice in 6 weeks) I don't think he is quite that old. I picked Elvis as he seemed to have strong joints ect, and could easily pull himself by an arm or a leg. I got Jambo at 12 Weeks of a breeder and he had severe MBD when I got him so with Elvis I looked out for all these signs as a poorly Cham is a Heartbreaking and expensive pet.

He took less than 5 mins to settle into his new home, and was eating drinking and pooing that day. but after a few Weeks I noticed that, although eventually he gets his food, he very often misses it or hits and and throws it across the tank with his tongue. He's not got any bark ect at the bottom of his tank, just fake plants so he's safe enough that way.

As poorly as Jambo was, I never noticed him once miss his food.

Sorry this is such a big speech, just getting my thoughts out I suppose :)
