Current Problem - earlier i had caught linus sound asleep at the bottom of his cage, the very bottom. this concerned me some so i picked him up and put him in his pothos where he usually sleeps. just a couple minutes ago i had caught him again at the very bottom curled up in the corner..he has never done this. now, given the circumstances, my room has been sorta stuffy all day and hotter than normal..but the temps in his cage are reading the same as they usually do with a digital thermometer. he is sleeping like a puppy, not on his side or anything, but could the warmer climate in my room make him wanna do that to cool himself off? or is there something wrong with him? he is also shedding btw..i understand this may not make him feel well either :/

Heat rises so he might have gone down their to cool off or something, I am not quite sure.

Hopefully it is just a little quirk. Could be trying to get away from the heat or maybe he found a cool spot that he is comfortable in? Keep an eye on him and make sure that he is still eating/drinking and I am sure he will be fine.

Was this his normal sleeping time?

yep, about an hour after lights out, which is when the sun went down. he woke up this morning before his lights came on (my bedroom light is on because i get ready before he wakes up) and he moved up the cage some, so i think all is good. he was probably down there to cool off, like i said, my room is pretty warm at the moment..might move his cage downstairs in the next couple weeks.

Amanda, like you first thought, I think maybe he likes to sleep down there because it's cooler. They do like a good drop in temps of at least 10 degrees at night, as you know. I will add that Monty always sleeps lower down in his viv too, not on the floor, but about half way down. He never spends time in that section of the cage through the day, and thinking about it, he usually sleeps above the drip catcher.

Chloe sleeps on the lower vines (and on the bottem of cages/ when/if i put her in one). she just does that  mabey cb chams dont worry about something comeing to eat them. she also knows if she gets off hr plant and sits there i'll come pick her up and set her back on. so she just sits and waits till i come by. lazy.

As long as it's his normal sleeping time I wouldn't worry about it. As has been noted, it's cooler down there and he might just want to sleep in the coolest part of the cage. Also, I think they derive secret pleasure from doing something "odd" occasionally just to drive us crazy.
