minor cage problem

Just got the Zoo Med 18" terrarium hood. I assumed it was the long fluorescent bulb that fit. Nope. the hood has the space for 2 bulbs. Can i do the old, 1 UVB 1 heat bulb combo with the hood. Is this safe?

yes it is safe if you use the correct bulb. There are people who use them, but most prefer to use the separate basking light and uvb.

I would assume it would be so that your chameleon can regulate its temperature and UVB requirements separately, and not have to over heat trying to get UVB exposure?
