Hey there everybody. I am curious if any of you cham keepers in the Madison or Minneapolis area can recommend a great cham vet for me.
I have had my male Sambava for over a year now and the past few months I do believe he is still fighting an RI infection. I recently took him to the closest reptile vet near me who did nothing more than listen to his lungs before prescribing some Baytril. It seemed to work for a brief time but his wheezing and coughs are still present.
I am fairly certain that his treatment regimen in the long run didn't work as it would seem my Samson's appetite is not there for the past week. He has been hanging out low in his cage and not as vibrant as he has been. He is still very active mover with a decent grip but I want to take him to someone who knows the proper methods to diagnose and treat each specific reptile.
I live in the center of Wisconsin so my location is pretty evenly split between Minneapolis and Madison. If it means getting proper care for my guy then I will drive further if I must, I'd even ship him to a vet if I absolutely have to but I doubt that it would be necessary. I have been searching the internet for various vet reviews in those two metros but am having little luck.
Please help me with a great vet!
