Midnight snack.

So I was in my chameleon room in the middle of the night, feeding the insects that are in the closet using a flashlight(That would be a "torch" for Benton and the other Brits out there ) for light when all of a sudden I hear a loud pop on one of the chameleon cages from the other side of the room. I turned to check all the chameleon cages with my flashlight and this is what I found.


I guess Splah can't resist a midnight snack.

Haha, we get enough American TV to know what a flashlight is . Lucky you, my guy won't even eat roaches in the daytime. I saw an Attenborough documentary sometime when they were looking at a cham in the wild and it grabbed an insect by torchlight.

I totally saw that BBC documentary also! I can't rememer which one it was but the chameleon didn't mind Attenborough at all and just used the lights from the camaras to catch a bug. BTW I ONLY buy the Attenborough narrated BBC Earth series doucumentaries(planet earth, life, human planet ect...). He's a master of vocal expression. We get Weaver and Oprah? I mean c'mon!!!

You're right. We would say. "It grabbed an insect using the light from the flashlight."

The Attenborough documentary was probably Life in Cold Blood, awesome. I watched the Frozen Planet narrated by a Baldwin just after we moved, too weird! Luckily a properly narrated one was screened later. I queued up for 4 hours to meet David Attenborough, he signed my Grandpa's copy of his Zoo Quest book, which I highly recommend to everyone.

Have you read his life story? It's great! Went to see him at Aberdeen university several years ago. Soo inspiring. He can't do anything wrong in my eyes. Except I've sceen of baby polar bears that were filmed in a zoo!

I agree. I think human planet was narrated by John Hurt and that was good also.

I just can't believe you are starving that poor sweet baby, until he has to give up sleep and hunt for food all night. Poor pretty baby. He is completely beautiful, and I don't really think he is starving, just kidding.

Great pics of your guy! Not to hijack this thread, but while diving in Bonaire at night, tarpon would swim by us (about 5 feet long) and catch fish in the beams of our flashlights. Pretty spooky until you realize what they are and what they are doing. Until then you're just trying not to poop in your wetsuit!
