Melleri eggs...

I am a new poster here, so I cannot reply to threads in 'advanced topic' forums...

Unfortunately, those eggs were infertile...I am not even sure her cage mate is a male, but I am leaning towards male. They went bad after about a week. Honestly, I did not think she was Old/big enough to be sexually mature. It was kind of a suprise when she started becoming barrel chested...I knew she was gravid.
It was her first clutch. I had her since she was a juvie.

Oh ok. I was thinking if you did have fertile eggs i wish you the best with them because from what i here they can be a bit more work then veileds. Well thanks for clearing that up.:)

If both melleri were female and the same age, would they BOTH have produced infertile clutches already? Do the females always produce an infertile clutch of eggs or even start developing eggs and then reabsorb them?

I have pics of both animals in the advanced topic forum, but I can only post here for now...
The one that I thought to be male kept getting all kinds of little scratches on its back...I had two basking spots set up in the cage, but the female kept crawling all over the other one. I am not sure if it is the gesture of a dominant female to literally walk all over the other female or receptive behavior from a female to a male. They have been separated sice the one female layed eggs. Just getting her back in shape nutritionally...the other one is a hog.
