Melleri Egg

So, most of you know the saga of my Newbie, female Melleri, who laid 74 eggs in June and 92 eggs in September. And I'm sure you remember that all 74 of her eggs in June that we had hoped good things for eventually all molded over. Well, as I have been checking on her most recent clutch of 92, most all of them have since molded over (we had better hopes for this clutch since I saw (what I thought was) her mating with our other adult Melleri). HOWEVER, I have 2 good eggs left (well, at least they haven't molded over yet....)!! Here's a picture of one of them. (um, the brown stuff on the egg is actually fine grade vermiculite - I had the eggs separated into groups and some of them were in vermiculite and some were in hatchrite, so as groups of them molded over, I ended up combining the 2 eggs into one container....)

I have had eggs last six months then they start to look a little funky and when i cut them open there was no embryo inside. I wonder how they last that long. I have my fingers crossed for your two good luck !

Yeah, I'm not too hopeful for these little guys, seeing as how there are only 2 left out of 92! I would think if they were fertile, there would be more than just 2. Oh well. Hey, if they end up doing well and eventually hatching, at least it will be 2 little babies that I didn't have before, right?? ha ha ha :D
