Since all the dogs are out. I thought I would share mine with you all. This is Zoe, an 8 month old pit mix and Buddy a 7 yr old Golden Retriever.
Both are rescues. Buddy was found half starved. He was 60 pounds, he's now 117.
Zoe has a pretty touching story behind her rescue. I have an uncle that lives in a little hick town just west of Jacksonville. They don't have trash service, so all the residents take their trash to a local dump. My uncle one day on his way home, stopped by the dump to drop off some trash. Zoe was about 2 months old at the time and came running up to his car. He left her but she followed his car for about a mile before he lost sight of her. Later that night he couldn't sleep thinking about the puppy he left behind. So at 4AM he decided to go back up there and see if she was still there. She was, and the next morning he called me and asked if I wanted her. I couldn't say no. My uncle is such a big softy he started crying when he found her again and was crying when he called me, so "no" wasn't really an option for me. I can't stand to see or hear a grown man cry lol.
I can't for the life of me figure what she is mixed with. She is little, only about 47 pounds and pretty much done growing.
