Meet Leaf the 'Pygmeleon'!

A couple of days ago I was given a female (I was told) Brev! This is Leaf! I am totally new to Pygmies, they are not a species I had really considered, but she is so sweet and friendly!

Very cute little one you have.
Do be careful about handling as they are fragile, and stress very easy, even if them don't appear to be, they can feel stress just from being handled.

I had a pyg a few years ago, I couldn't resist handling him, and I think the stress of it killed him, because he only lived 6 months, and was otherwise in great health.

They really have that disney pixar face. Looks like some kinda of adult humor for a kids movie is about to be spoke.. enjoy. I have been really considering taking a run at them. But until I master cricket breeding, I have been holding off.

Yes leaf is definitely a female r.brev!

Congratulations! They are my favorite species to work with!

What lighting do you have for her? And what are your temperatures like?

I love their little tails. They are so cute. I saw them in a pet shop once and was amazed at how small they are in person. Good luck with her!

She has a 2.0 compact on the viv that she came with. Temps, I understand are the same as for crested geckos, but it's really hot here in the UK at the moment, so she will be moved to a cooler room tomorrow if need be. Right now temps are around 77F.

Yes, she is definitely a female - she laid me two eggs this morning! One on her fern leaf and the other underneath another leaf. I think the recent move upset her as her set up is different to what she was in before and she is still settling in. I am incubating them anyway as I see red circles in both, one more than the other and I can see it through the shell. I am aware that they may not make it, but am giving them a chance. I understand the male died a couple of months ago so there is a chance that they will develop.
