Hi
Got him november 29th, got him from a local , im in the UK though
3x2x2, compact uv bulb(may change this), 100 watt reflecto bulb.basking spot is at 94 right now, 84 lowest temprature. drops to 80 at night
sprayed daily/twice per day, has many branches etc. including one which is 7/8" from basking spot,
He gets locust and roaches every two days, usually eats about 8 medium locusts, or 10 large roaches (lobster roaches, not dubia)
Let me know if anything is wrong or should be changed and i wil get it done ASAP
Hi mate, hope this does'nt sound rude, its not meant to, but i have kept Veiled before, and know quite abit about them.(not meant to sound rudeChange out his UV lamp. Compacts are no good. A proven lamp is the Linear style tube lamp from Reptisun, a 5.0 is perfect. Make sure the UV lamp does not have a plastic or glass cover between the cham and the lamp. The temps are a bit high. 94* is fine for a basking temp but you should get the rest of the cage down to the mid 70's If you see him walking around on the ground and the temp is in the 80's he is looking for a cooler place to hang out. Are you dusting the feeders with calcium?
You should check out this site for some really good info on keeping a veiled chameleon.
Also check this site for UV info.
Show us some picture of the setup and you will get more feed back.
Also see if your camera has a 'macro' setting for taking pictures up close. It will help with the pics being blurry.
