Meet Brian!

I got Brian about 2 months ago, but haven't gotten around to uploading any pictures until now. He's a Nosy Be, however i cant stop thinking that hes a cross with another as well (A keen eye would be appreciated). I dont mind too much, he's about 6 months old and im really looking forward to him getting his full array of colours soon. As you can see hes mainly Green with Blue bars, however under his belly I see blues and oranges as well as Red on his eyes with a small amount of white around the tip of the eye also and white lipstick.

As I live in the UK I have him in a controversial glass Terrarium (90 x 45 x 90 cm) [1], however im overly cautious and a little paranoid about all the fine details in there so im sure all the conditions he requires are being met. Im fanning the enclosure twice a day because I worried about 'stale air', however im sure the ventilation is good enough with my ceiling fan on, but as I said, im just being paranoid ;)
Basking spot is 85-90F and he goes to the same spot to sleep of a night under some leaves which i measured at 65F, though i use a ceramic bulb to make sure the temperature dont go too low of an evening. Humidity goes back and forth between 50-80%.

He's eating around 5-6 dusted gutloaded crickets a day atm, however there dont seem to have been any increase in the number he eats in the couple months i got him. Not too worried though, his poops are huge and healthy and his urate is nice and white. I tried to get him used to cup held crickets however he dont take much notice and seems to prefer free roaming instead. Loves the hunt ;) I wanted to get him onto mealworms or silkworms to fatten him up, however he'll only eat off of leaves and i doubt the worms will stay on leaves (correct me if im wrong).

Think thats about it, any other info you think i require then shoot! Enjoy the pictures.

Hey welcome! Its good to meet you both.:) Brian indeed has a unique coloration. It doesnt strike me as any local in particular, not that Im an expert. Im sure the glass viv is fine. You could just leave the doors open when your around to supervise if your worried about stale air. Im sure Brian would enjoy it as well. :)

Hello to you and Brian and welcome to the forum!:)
He's nice and healthy, and it doesn't need to fat up if you ask me..Looking at the base of his tail (where they store part of their body fat) he seems well fed!;) The worms are mainly consider treats and crickets stable diet, but I believe he'll be delighted to have some worms every once in a while!
I live in Ireland, close enough to the UK. I have a Panther chameleon too, and I got a screen cage.. I'm paranoid too over the glass terrarium retaining too much water and became a source of mould and eventually parasites, put if you control that it should be just fine, many pet shops over here are using a terrarium and so many members in this forum.
He's a beautiful chameleon, thanks for sharing :)

nice looking cham, and there is NOTHING wrong with glass, in climate like yours and here in canada it can acctually be quite benfificial.
im not sure on local either. maybe a x nosy be x bb ambilboe....not too sure or good at identifying locals
im sure other will chime in
