Hey guys, so my chameleon had to go see an exotic specialist and have a procedure done. It’s going to run about $1000 after everything is said and done. Are there any programs that help with financial assistance that are worth looking into? Also, does anyone have any experience with Allstate? I heard that they cover exotic pets.

I’m sorry to hear about your chameleon. The best thing for you, right now, would be the care credit. As far as I know Nationwide Pet Insurance is the only one that has exotic plans and they have a two week waiting period and do not cover pre-existing conditions.

Sorry to hear about your cham. See if your Vet accepts Care Credit. If they do apply for it. most of the time you can get a 6 months no interest with it on purchases over a certain dollar amount. The Vet will tell you if they offer the promo for the dollar amount of your bill..
