Me, Myself and Lily!

Miss Lily

Chameleon Enthusiast
Hi guys! Took this pic today of Lily sat on my shoulder and thought I'd share! :D I have one of those elusive 'sweet, gentle and friendly' chameleons and I love her to bits! She's a very happy chameleon! :D (And I'm a happy Chamelemum too!)

You two are something to aspire too

Did you handle her a lot when you first got her... or did you find she was just a social animal?

I dont want to over handle mine (ark at me, its my dads!) But i guess its something to observe and see how it reacts over the next few days

Awww she looks lovely, just goes to show how much she trusts you she looks at real ease!I think Trixxi is a friendly Cham also....even when she has a wee gape at me you can tell that she won't bite!Glad Miss Lily is feeling better XX P.S...any idea what i could use as a laying bin?...size wise? want to be prepared!

I would let yours (well, your Dad's) settle in for a few days first and get a misting and feeding routine established.

I didn't get Lily until she was 6 months old. She had been reserved and was handled daily I think. She was also used to people looking in her cage and would hand feed waxworms from anyone who offered them! I think that she is trusting - she was asleep in my hand yesterday with her chin resting on my fingers. It was a sad but sweet special moment for me. I think that there's a 'bond' that's very hard to describe, but I love her to bits and am probably way too attached to her. There's just something about her!:D

Very cute picture Tiff, that Lily is quite relaxed on your shoulder.:) Humans do create special bonds with animals, weather it be a dog, a bird or a chameleon. Lily trust you, and that comes with time and hard work, you have done good Tiff.;)
