Me and MooPing Totally new to this forum!!

Hey to all...

I used to take a look at this forum quiet often as i do own a panther chameleon... looking at all the people interacting and all the posts about their chameleons... even i wanted to show mine off... ^^

So i got this chameleon about 3 months back... the petshop said that it was male panther chameleon and is around 3 months... so currently he is around 6 months.. i am posting few pics of him...

NOTE:: PLEASE DO LET ME KNOW WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK ABOUT "moo-ping" (thats his name)... does he look healthy?? please do comment if i am going wrong anywhere...

Why do you have a heat bulb going threw the side ov the viv? That's a bad idea and it that bits of carrot in that tub? Panthers don't eat any kind of veg I'd feed that to your feeders prior to putting them in the viv and I would perhaps put another plant in there

the light on the side is UV light.. if not there where should i put it?? from the top? it seems to like to chill on that side usually thats another reason for the UV light being there... and the carrots are for the bugs inside... incase he is hungry... the two tubs are:: super worms and crickets... i was feeding some crickets n worms at that time.. thats why there are carrots...

so everthing else is ok? does he look healthy?

looks fine to me. nothing wrong with putting carrots in there for your feeders but there are better gut-loads you should be using. carrots are good in moderation. Sandrachameleon had some gr8 blogs you should read up on. also you should know you will probably need a bigger cage when he gets older. nothing wrong with the uv being there but most will say top is better to create a temp gradient. are you probing that? how are you supping? it would be best(if you want advice on your setup) to fill out the how to ask for help in the health part of the forum. but from what i can see you look like your doing a caring a researched good job welcome!

thanks for the response... i sure will do check sandrachameleon's blog today... and about getting a bigger cage... yes.. even the petshop person told me later i might need to buy a bigger one... well.. i am learning as i go on... i do think and feel that there are different temperature levels in his viv as he likes to move around and chill at certain places...thanks again for all comments and response... cheers*
