The legs are straight, no extra joints, no bowing of the legs. So why do you think your cham has it?

He doesnt have the best balance. He falls every once in a while and I have seen him on the bottom about 3 times now.

Fill this in and we can go from there. And sometimes, they can fall, mine has a few times.
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

Are you sure he's falling to the bottom? My baby veiled has climed down to the bottom to walk around then climbs back up to the hibiscus. Occasionally he does it if he sees a cricket there, but he's healthy as can be :) so I don't see him coming down (only happened once or twice) on his own as a problem. Maybe your cham is doing the same thing, climbing down the screen? Or have you seen him fall the three times?

Im not sure if he is falling to the bottom, but I have seen him fall a few times.

Your Chameleon - Male Veilied, About 4 months?

Feeding - Crickets, he eats about 5 a day. gutloaded with strawberry, carrot, apple, lettuce, dandelion leaves, tomato and orange
Supplements - Cal stron calcium
Watering - Mist 3-4 times a day
Fecal Description - white/brown
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Type - Screen
Lighting - Reptisun 5.0 tube and 40 watt heat bulb
Temperature - 72- cool 81- hot
Humidity - Don measure
Plants - Pothos
Placement - Bedroom, medium trafic

He should be eating more than 5 a day... and You should have him on a calcium regiment like this Cal W/O d3 every feeding, Cal W/d3 twice a month, and Multivitamin twice a month....

Basking temps are fine for a guy that young but you should really measure the humidity because here in Dallas where you also reside :) Humidity can be WAY out of whack all the time... I leave windows open in my apt to vent the humidity to a stable amount with the natural Texas humidity...Works great for me

I always try to give him more than 5.. But he just leaves them. Some days he will eat up to 15, but rarely.
And thats my schedule :D
Im wondering, how do you keep humidity in if the cage is all screen?D:

I keep live plants... By keeping the windows in my apt I make the humidity outside, the humidity inside... Today its only at 46% SO with more misting and the live plants I'm almost at 80+% humidity.. Hes free ranging right now though so he's getting that 46%

If you find your cham has some poor balance, I'd add some more branches and a thicker tree that way your cham can grab onto something if he falls or will fall into branches.

Are the branches a size that his feet can grip easily?

I don't know what Cal stron calcium is...is it a phos.-free calcium with nothing else in it?

Your gutload could be improved...I use dandelions, kale, collards, endive, escarole, sweet red pepper, sweet potato, zucchini, squash, etc. You seem to be using mostly fruit and while lettuce is okay once in a while if you use romaine, its not the best gutload.

You could bump the basking temperature up a couple of degrees to see if that helps its appetite. What size crickets is it eating? How bit is the cage? How far away from the basking spot does it usually sit?

Thats what it seems like. http://www.bigalsonline.com/Cal-Stron-Reptile-Calcium_9122049_82.html
I use iceburg and romaine, should I take them out?
He sits about 5 inches away. I think I will make it a 50 watt... My house is pretty cold.

I put a bit of romaine in every time because it gives them moisture....but I use mostly the other greens and veggies.
