Mbd?

My chameleon back legs are starting to have less elevation and are twitching sometimes. He also sometimes has a slacker grip with a drooping tale. He gets reptivite at least twice a week. And he has no other signs of MBD. He also can move with his hind legs fine if he's hunting or reaching for about her vine. He seems to be dedicating normally. The problem started to the extreme more after I started feeding him large crickets because he was going through about 20 medium ones a day. He's about 6 months old I think btw. I think the large crickets may be the problem with the overrating. Thoughts?

Can you post some pics? Are you giving calcium? I am guessing you mean deficating and not dedicating right? lol

Do you use a UVB light? Does the light pass through glass or plastic? What supplements specifically do you use and how often for each? (I know you mentioned reptivite...does it have D3 in it?) what do you feed/gutload the insects with? What kind of chameleon?

It's a veiled chameleon. And no I haven't been feeding calcium. Yes the reptivite has D3 In it and I have a UVB bulb.

If you're chameleon does have MBD you will first have to correct the imbalance and then change your supplementing, etc to keep it from returning.

This is a picture of him. He's doing it again even though I fed him medium crickets. I think he may have some eating problem, cause no matter how many I put in his cage he will eat all of them in reach untill he can't move every single time. It's deffinitly not an issue with hunger. I don't get it

From what ive read over and over again is that you give a daily dusting of calcium with out d3 every day. then once every two weeks you can dust with calcium with d3. What uvb bulb are you using and how old is it?

Ummm, it's one from zoo med. and it's barely 3 months old. He's now does a coughing sneezing thing occasionally. I think I'm just going to have too save up some money and take him to the vet
