MBD , Puffy head, cannot strike food

I went to a Pet Smart today 100 miles away!!! I got some liquid calcium and wax worms( thats the only kind of worms they had besides meal) I have NOT been able to get his mouth open even for water. tomorrow i AM going to stick with it until i get something in him!! The worms were all dead , dated 10-11, but i think my veiled will eat them...or IF I can get his mouth open. ( I have never perchased anything from a big chain pet store before , next time I will check and make sure the live food is LIVE!!) where can i get the RescueCal? They just had Flukers stuff there and I have read that isnt really great stuff. IF I CAN get his mouth open whats the FIRST thing I should put in , food, water or liquid calcium???? The couple times i got him to open his mouth it was very brief and only ONE time, I want to get what ever will benefit him most in first.

to get his mouth open, you can try rubbing your finger between his eyes, this always got my guys to open wide.
or get a credit card, and gently stick the corne between their lips and twist a bit, this should make him gape at you, and then you can put food in.

i would do liquid calcium, then bugs.

as for the rescuecal, try amazon.

I got his mouth open and got a tiny bit of liquid calcium in but then he closed up. I dont want to hurt him. Im gonna try the rub between his eyes and the credit card thing, He drank alittle but just a tiny bit. His head still has the puffy bumps and I have NEVER seen any pictures of any chams like this. So far I have not seen him eat . Thanks EVERYONE for all the info. I will keep you posted. Im still so worried UGHHHHHH it makes me crazy.

those puffy spots on his head, are fat pads.
its normal.

he jsut has puffier ones probably because he was a bit overfed before.
