That's not necessarily correct, MBD is a severe deficiency of calcium and other minerals/vitamins that play a role in maintaining healthy bones and muscles so you can cure it in that you can get their levels of calcium to their rightful place but you cannot reverse the physical deformities that tends to happen to young chameleons when they grow having MBD. But the condition can be cured.

The best way to cure it is to go to a knowledgeable reptile vet who can do blood work, determine where your animal is and where he needs to be, and send you home with liquid calcium.
