Max Female Veiled age

I was just wondering what is the max age is for a female veiled chameleon? One of my females is about to hit 4 and she becoming inactive for the most part. She is still eating and drinking but taking awhile to poop. I have given her mineral oil twice to help her go and it has been successful. She some times puts her neck and the air and looks like she is swallowing or having a hard time breathing. Im just worried if i should be prepared for anything. She has had about 9-12 clutches since Ive had her.

My old teacher had a veiled that lived almost 6 years. That was the longest he ever had, but she was never bred.

With proper care 5-7 years maybe longer. 9-12 clutches is a lot for a female.

Increased access to water and juicy prey might be a safer alternative.

She is a very old lady if she's had that many clutches.

Did these females lay eggs? and if so how often?

Some of them have. The one that lived the longest had at least two fertile clutches. Some laid no eggs at all...infertile or otherwise.

I started the mineral oil treatment since she hadn't poop in four days. Can this be bad if she is eating 10+ crickets everyday and not going?

You are feeding her way to much food. She should only eat 6 to 8 feeders every other day. Do you only feed her crickets? A juicy silkworm or horn worm might help her to go. Keep her well hydrated and you may need to give her a warm bath in a shallow bowl.

She took a MASSIVE poop today. There was tons of white stuff. I gave her a bath so i think that helped her out. Thanks
