Maturing Enclosure

I love keeping chameleons because they are such an amazing and intuitive animal, but I also like the husbandry that goes along with them. There is something about watching your habitat grow along side your chameleon that just authenticates the whole process. I had this particular enclosure setup for my Oustalet's Chameleon. I was new to this species, and I was told on a previous post that he would out grow the 24x24x48 relatively fast....boy was that correct information. I now have him moved to a free range situation and after some cleaning and sterilization, I gave this enclosure to my Nosy Faly. He was happy about the move. I just wanted to share my enclosure and how it was filling in!

Oustlalets are amazing Chams! Underapreciated for sure. I was lucky enough to do a Sub Q nematode removal from on an adult female and she pulled through with flying colors!

TheCoop - I agree, they are absolutely underrated. I would have to say that of all my chameleons, he is definitely the most gentle and the least skittish. Glad to know the female made it through that process.

Benjilan - Thank you very much. The vines are wisteria that I cut, dry, shape and then bake. They work great in my enclosure because they hold the shape that they dry in.

Here are a few more pictures of Durza tonight. He was completely fine on the first click and then it's like he realized it was the dreaded camera monster by the time I clicked the second photo. He hates having his photo taken. :(

Haha I find it a little of both, was hoping to get some more worms today when I picked up feeders for the pythons but they were out so I'll have to wait a few days before trying again. He's a stubborn cham but very food driven so think it will eventually win him over.
