What do you use for the bottom of your cages? The only thing I could find for the last cage I built was masonite, which isn't really good. I couldn't find just some ordinary thick plastic other than plexiglass. Where did you buy it also. Thanks in advance. David

In my first cage I used 3mm thick expanded pvc board, bought from a sign shop. In my second and third cage, good old 3/8 inch plywood that is multi-coated with water-based sealant. I'll be looking into epoxy resin next time for bottom coating.

PVC board.

i'm torn between making my floor out of nice wood and coating it with bar gel(eurethane) or a plastic washing machine catch pan from home depot or lowes.
