Great news for everyone in Mass. We were participating in the show in Mass yesterday and were speaking to all the great people at New Engaland Herp Society and was surprised to hear that as of last Wed the state had approved chameleon ownership. They are going to go a step further and make sure that all pet stores etc are going to be keeping them the way that is recommended, screen cages, one per cage, misting, drippers, etc. You cannot at this point order 1 if you live in Mass, it still needs to go throught the final step of actually having the bill signed and "officially" becoming legal. The way the state works i have no idea how long that will take, but we are also doing the show in Oct and told them we should have some baby veileds by then and they thought hopefully by then we could bring them. The Maine Herp Society is also working on a similar bill. Yeahhhhhhhh. If i hear about when the bill has actually been signed, i will let everyone know.
