marks on face?

i could have sworn i looked at him a hour ago or two and i didnt notice them.. now i see these dark spots on his face that look like cuts.. near his right eye and on his forehead. what can this be? it kind of looks like he got in a fight with something and that something scratched him in the face. i tried taking a pic but you cant really see them.

I will try to take a good pic and post it.. about the falling.. well he fell yesterday about 2 feet but he landed on his feet and i did not see anything on him.
