Manzanita help

I'm looking to add some manzanita branches to my chameleon enclosures. Is it safe to use the natural manzanita? Is sandblasted the way to go for better grip? I like the darker look of the natural manzanita but I'd like to do what's best for my Nosey be (and soon to arrive ambilobe from user Reptoman)!

Sandblasted manzanita seems a bit smoother. They are really pretty and make great natural looking enclosures! You can naturally stain them too, without hurting the chameleon.

How to stain manzanita naturally, I do not know. I've heard somewhere on here that you can stain with coffee soaking though. I think.

I also REALLY love sandblasted grapewood. Looks more rough though.
