do any of you know of any local here aroud... say Long Beach, San pedro. And if so is there any treatment to do to them???

Thanx for all the advice.. Much apreciated

manzanita seems so prevelant here i would think anywhere in the foothills would have it?
i just check for bugs and things, there isnt any spraying anywhere close to where I get it, so i think its ok
people either scrub with antibacterial or in the oven. But Carol has said many times it might be overkill if you know where it comes from.

the powersun is not a good bulb for chams, it is way to strong for their sensitive eyes. I have 2 panthers from previous owners, one had the 100w powersun. because it was too strong, he didnt bask properly, which means his digestion and other body functions never really got a chance to work properly.
if its for a basking area, stick with a 60w soft white house bulb, or a bulb designed for basking.
i think you already said you were using the 5.0 reptisun linear

If you are talking about the mercury vapor power sun the problem is that they are not meant to be used as a baking bulb like people are used to using, and when used improperly can cause serious damage to a chameleon. I know breeders who use them and swear by them. But they are an all in one bulb that emits ALOT of heat and UVB. They are used high above the cages usually hung from the ceiling. So unless you understand how they work and have them placed properly, it could turn out ugly:(
